Glass has shaped our world for over 3000 years with its special characteristics. It’s one of the earliest materials yet it still remains modern and sophisticated. Glass has an incredible variety of shapes, colors and properties.
Glas Trösch is a Swiss company with over 100 years of experience in the manufacture, processing and finishing of glass. Johann Friedrich Trösch introduced a special procedure for transferring images on glass in 1905. Since then Glas Trösch has grown to become one of the leading glass companies in Europe. Walbert-Schmitz designed and built the booth for Glas Trösch at Swissbau 2016.
An open and clear design provides space for different presentation options. Detached glass attracts the attention of the visitors. Placed on the edges of the booth it serves as delimitation and also provides protection and space for personal conversations. The combination of white and red highlight the characteristics of fireproof glass and creates a natural and warm atmosphere.
Inside the stand there was an imposing high glass cube with a height of six meters. Integrated with the backlit glass facades it formed the center of the stand.
The combination of rectangular and polygonal architecture underlines the modernity and strength of the company. Clean, detailed solutions and the proper use of lighting round off the design.
