Walbert-Schmitz realized the trade fair presence for Covestro at the K 2016, the world’s number one trade fair for plastics and rubber. K 2016 took place in Düsseldorf between the 19th and 26th of October, with a focus on presenting innovations in the automotive, construction, health & cosmetics, fashion, sports, and electronics industries.
The mobility of tomorrow – Covestro showed the latest materials and concepts for the automotive and transport sector. The real-size car model was brought from the second to the third dimension in cooperation with Walbert-Schmitz. Many hours went into 3D-printing the model, which had to be milled, painted, and assembled afterwards.
The versatile properties of the materials could be observed at close range at the sample bar. The materials were carefully arranged beforehand at Walbert-Schmitz home base.
In the Fashion section Covestro presented a shining dress. The light-emitting diodes were activated by movement and it quickly became an eyecatcher for visitors. LEDs are taking over increasingly important functions, such as pedestrian or cyclist traffic security.
Visionaries and industry partners were able to exchange ideas with experts in the Covestro Arena, while also getting first insights into the latest innovations.
A topic was selected for each of the eight days of the trade fair. Each topic was extensively dealt with during podium discussions, presentations, and award ceremonies that were held at the trade fair.
